茶屋辻文様は江戸時代に御殿女中が夏服としていた衣裳の柄であったことから
流水文様が描かれており、涼し気な柄であることが特徴です。
流水文様は絶えることなく流れる水の様子から「厄を流す」「永遠」の意味を持ちます。
