From small patterns with overlapping autumn leaves patterns.

When a maple changes color and turns red, it is called autumn leaves.

It is said that it was already a popular plant among people during the Nara period, and people enjoyed viewing its autumn leaves.

Autumn leaf viewing was originally a harvest festival held in the mountains to pray for the autumn harvest.

The autumn leaves pattern, like the maple pattern, means "turning things around for the better."

It also has the meaning of "longevity" and has been loved by the Japanese since ancient times.
