From the Meisen kimono, which has a tatewaku pattern with a hemp leaf pattern woven into it.

The Tatewaku pattern is said to be a pattern of steam rising towards the sky, and has the meaning of improving your luck and getting ahead in life.

The hemp leaf pattern is associated with hemp, a plant with strong vitality, and has the meaning of "growth".

Since it is also used in religious rituals, it has also been used as a pattern to protect oneself from evil spirits.

The four-fold pattern is a pattern of the ``arithmetic tree'' used in Japanese arithmetic and divination, and is also one of the auspicious patterns.

Wasan is Japan's unique form of mathematics that developed between the Edo and Meiji periods, and is said to be at the highest level in the world at the time.

The orderly rows of four pieces give an intellectual impression.

Meisen - A plain -woven silk fabric using a technique called kasuri . This is a yarn-dyed textile that dyes the threads before they are woven. The warp threads are lined up at evenly spaced widths and are divided into upper and lower parts one by one, and the weft threads are threaded between them, which is repeated many times. It is characterized by the texture of the pattern, which is created by weaving with different colors of the warp and weft threads. Meisen was all the rage during the Taisho and Showa periods, but today it is a valuable textile that is only produced in small numbers.
