Aloha shirts are made from fine patterns dyed with powerful plants in monotone.

The trees that grow thickly look like clovers or ferns and are impressive. The clover with many flowers means ``prosperity,'' and the fern, which has excellent reproductive ability, means ``prosperity of descendants.''

Other trees are also associated with growth and prosperity.

The mountain water that flows between the trees and rocks is an auspicious pattern that has the meaning of ``eternity'' and ``washing away disaster'' due to its continuous flow.

This kimono is a pattern that requires delicate and skilled techniques to express realistic plants and flowing water, and this pattern is boldly repeated and dyed.

It may be thought that creating komon, where the same pattern is repeated on every piece of cloth, is easy, but it is a traditional technique that requires skill and patience to dye evenly, using dozens to hundreds of paper patterns.
